Do you allow your children to watch a new music video on Much Music. |

| I wonder how many people actually allow their children to watch each new music video that comes out. Some of them are very sensual and in my opinion, not really appropriate for children. I wouldn't let my kids watch Much Music for a very long time because of how sensual each new music video was. My youngest was probably 17 before I let her turn it on. My older kids were out of luck. They had to watch them at their friends houses. You may wonder what the point is if they can't watch each new music video at their own home but they can at their friends. To me it meant that they knew their house was special and they had to behave appropriately there. There are some really nice ones out there that are fun to watch but most of them are sensual. Kids have enough trouble controlling that aspect of their lives in the world today without their parents adding to it. I think its up to us to try to help them keep some sanity in their lives instead of throwing them into that sort of thing before they're old enough to handle it. The interesting thing I noticed though is that when my youngest watches Much Music and an inappropriate new music video comes on, she changes the channel until it's over. |
